Yup, we had to build a Blog!

We heard that all the cool guys have one. So we thought to give you a place to find out more about what we like - not only in webdesign, but in general. Plus, here you get to be the first to see what our next WP themes will look like.

Did you know that basic add-on elements are very similar for WordPress and Joomla?

Let’s take a look at the common add-on elements for both platforms:

  • Widgets (WP) = Modules (Joomla); essentially, both have the same purpose.
  • Plugins (WP) = Plugins and Components (Joomla); Plugins in Joomla affect only the front-end output, while Components let you modify the core functionality; in WordPress, Plugins can effectively do both.
  • Themes (WP) = Templates (Joomla); No explanation needed here.

I used to use Joomla but it’s got kind of a steep learning curve and a bit bloated. Not sure what version 3 is like though..
