May 27, 2003 – the date WordPress was born (although born is not the best word). The very first version of WordPress – 0.7 didn’t have a nickname, and was built on top of another blogging platform – b2/cafelog. Since then, WordPress has evolved a lot, and right now it’s used for a lot more purposes than just simple blog sites, which you’re surely aware of.
