When I add this code to the Footer Field:

I get this:
(see attached picture)

How do I get the social buttons to stay on the same line as the contact info?

take a look now and let me know if this is the desired result, I think it looks very nice.

Thanks Max. That is better. But I was hoping to drop them on the same line as the Fax Number (to the right).

Thanks! I like that too. How do I close up the space between the buttons? I just want about 6 pixels between them.

In style.css file I added this code:

.socials a {
background: none;
padding-left: 15px;
padding-right: 5px;
}

replace it with:

.socials a {
background: none;
padding-left: 6px;
padding-right: 5px;
}
