2. Solved. This is the code that was added in style.css file:
   

   .bulletlist {
   list-style-type: disc;

   One last question (I promise)

   On my home page ...the "News and Highlight" text section is shifted down a couple of lines ... I have checked the text widget box and the code seems fine. Could it be the actual widget space?
