Hi Max, I want to make some changes to the child theme and leave the parent alone. I read in your help forum about creating a subdirectory (for example to change the slider speed). I asked my server support to help do that and was told I had to make changes to the parent theme and re-change the parent each time there is a theme update. Can you tell me how to create a sub directory or how to better phrase my question to my server support?

Hi,
there is already a child theme folder. The name of the folder is envision-child and is available when you download the theme. Activate it and you can make the changes there in style.css or if you would need some other files then copy them there and make the needed changes. The problem is that you can edit only the root folder files like header.php, page templates, js folder files, add new images in images folder but you can't edit the library folder content from child theme.Cheers,
Max.
