Congrats, you are the owner of a new original WordPress theme and I'm sure you are eager to start using it right away. The purpose of this tutorial is to help you install your theme. So let’s begin.

You should know that the installation of the theme is the same for both packages (Standard & Developer), the only difference is the name of the zip archives you've downloaded and the content of the packages. Lets take our Medical WordPress theme as an example for this tutorial. To install the theme you need to unzip the content of the downloaded archive. Your folder structure should look like this:

For Medica Standard.zip

Step 1. Upload the archive into your WordPress admin

Login to your WordPress admin, go to the Appearance tab from the left sidebar menu and upload the medica.zip archive.

Step 2. Activate the theme

After the upload is complete, press the Activate button.

Step 3. Download and install the actual theme

Up until now you have installed the source files that facilitate the download and installation of the theme directly from our servers. This way we can install, activate and make all the necessary configurations automatically so you won't have to do them manually. To start this process, please press the "Download & Install Now" button.

If your server is blocking our installing and downloading scripts, most likely you will get the following error screen. No worries, the theme can still be installed fairly easily, but you'll need to to do it manually. Here is a detailed tutorial.

Step 4. Installing demo content (or not)

After the download and installation is complete you will be redirected to this page where you can choose to install demo content for the theme. If you choose to do it (which we really recommend for most users), the theme will look exactly like the one on our live demo.
