Please take a look now. You just had to deselect all categories and save the widget. After this select again all categories and save the widget again. This refresh the widget settings and categories are in needed order.

Hi,
Now I disable the wp total cache plugin. I also install the My Category Order Plugin.

I change the category order that "communication" is the first category not the "automobile"

I changed the code in options_generator.php:
$entries = get_categories('title_li=&orderby=name&hide_empty=0');

the orderby=name is changed to order (according to My Category Order Document)
also the changes need to be made in selected_categories_widget.php (library\tfuse_mods\widgets) in this code:
$tfuse_categories_obj = get_categories('hide_empty=0');
was changed to :
$tfuse_categories = array();
$tfuse_categories_obj = get_categories('hide_empty=0&orderby=order');
Now in the widgets section, the order is correct as the setting order in My Category Order

However, the finally category order in web pages is still ordered by name.

How cause it?
which code decide the final order of categories?
thanks.

I made the changes yesterday and tested in Chrome, IE and firefox worked perfectly on all this browsers with min-height set to 305px. Now when I look in the style.css file the min height is set to 244px again. So, sorry but here is not my fault. I provided the code that it works for sure and it would work if it would be added there. When you make changes don't forget to disable your cache plugin.

Hi,
categories doesn't have a menu order. You can order them by:
- ID - Default
- name
- slug
- count
- term_group

Hi,
I use themefuse c3 theme and taxonomy order plugins to order category by menu_order.

However, the
When I click the URL
http://www.peopeo.de/info/work/
the order is not the menu_order. (because game and animation category is not the last).

However, when I click a sub categories in Work page.
the order is correct men order.
I have changed the code in he changes need to be made in selected_categories_widget.php (library\tfuse_mods\widgets) in this code:
$tfuse_categories = array();
$tfuse_categories_obj = get_categories('hide_empty=0');

to get_categories('hide_empty=0&orderby=menu_order');

besides, I also change other get_categories in sidebar.php to include the orderby=menu_order.

thanks.

Hi,
quite strange, in this page
http://www.peopeo.de/info/work/

the sidebar is ordered by alphabet
but if I click a sub category, for example the animation and game
http://www.peopeo.de/info/work/animation-and-game/

the sidebar is re-ordered as the order set up in the taxonomy order by "Category Order and Taxonomy Terms Order"plugin.

This mean that the default sidebar category work order is different from sidebar category.

How to change this?

Hi, we use themefuse c3 theme.
http://www.peopeo.de/info/work/ under this page, we want to put the animation subcategory of work to the last position.

I have tried to install Category Order and Taxonomy Terms Order and my category order plugin for this purpose, but it doesn't work, even the widget and sidebar is still ordered by alphabet.

it seems that i need to change the theme source code http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-my-category-order-how-to-use-wp_list_categoriesorderbyordertitle_li , but i didn't find the right place to do it.

any suggestions for that?
thanks.

if i click a post in blog(see the screenshot), the sidebar will be sidebar category not the sidebar category blog.

Actually there is shown content from Sidebar Single Post Page.

the above you mentioned why this happens, but can offer solution for my issues that I want that when i click sub category of blog, the the post in blog or blog subcategory, the sidebar will the same as sidebar category blog, not shown the work sidebar and will not conflict with work category posts.

The only way is to generate sidebars for each of them. This can be done from FuseFramework -> General -> General Settings -> Sidebars.

Cheers,
Max.

Hi,
if i click a post in blog(see the screenshot), the sidebar will be sidebar category not the sidebar category blog.

"This happens because for blog category you have a specific sidebar in Appearance -> Widgets which have different widgets there. The other ones are using widgets from Sidebar Category."

the above you mentioned why this happens, but can offer solution for my issues that I want that when i click sub category of blog, the the post in blog or blog subcategory, the sidebar will the same as sidebar category blog, not shown the work sidebar and will not conflict with work category posts.
