Hi,
the problem is that the code that you found there is from another theme, this is why you got a broken page, theme css wasn't applied to the code. I'm afraid you can't get this code to work with the theme, the only way would be to rewrite it.

Cheers,
Max.

Here's an example of what I mean. Please go to the fallowing link. Scroll down and click on the link in green."arthemia index.php modified to dispay one post per category on first page"

http://webdesign.go41.de/wordpress-tips/list-one-latest-post-per-category-on-frontpage-view/

it will show you the complete modified index.php. But it doesn't look good on my template. See the attchedment named "2".

Ok, I'm not sure which layout you would like from the picture you attached. Please provide more details and I would provide more instructions and a code example.

I may be little bit new at this, would be little more specific? Did you mean the index.php? I'm sorry, bit new at this.

Hi,
the only way to do this is to add them as HTML code.

Cheers,

I would like to display some of the categories I have created on the home page as futures categories. Is that possible. Here's a picture of the concept I'm looking for.
