How to put it online

After you’ve downloaded and modified the theme to your liking by replacing the text and images with your own, you’ll want to put it online but in order to be able to put your new theme online there are some requirements you need to meet:

Requirement 1: Have a domain name

A domain name uniquely identifies an Internet Protocol (IP) resource such as a web site on the Internet. Domains are based on the Domain Name System (DNS). In other words you’ll need to buy a domain name, like yourname.com, or yourbusiness.net from a internet domain seller.

Requirement 2: Have a web hosting service

A web hosting service allows individuals and organizations to make their own website accessible via the World Wide Web. You’ll need to buy a web hosting package from a web hosting company. Web hosts companies provide space on a server they own or lease for use by their clients as well as providing Internet connectivity, typically in a data center.

Requirement 3: Have a ftp client installed

You’ll need a ftp client like FileZilla in order to connect to your server and upload the HTML template in the public HTML folder. Now you can access your new original website by using you web address in a web browser like IE, Firefox or Safari.
